Pharyngeal tonsillectomy is a procedure performed usually in small children with nasal obstruction, sleep apnoea or recurrent otitis media. A short procedure takes place under general anaesthesia.
24-hour observation in a Hospital Ward is required due to a possibility of bleeding. The qualification is made by a laryngologist after endoscopy evaluation of the nasopharynx.
