We often hear that people become ill after the age of 40. Indeed, there is something to this, as chronic diseases will sooner or later affect everyone. Human life is fairly predictable when it comes to health. Some of us develop oncological diseases, some experience atherosclerosis complications, others are affected by autoimmune or neurological diseases, and most experience joint problems or other motor system ailments. Nature will ensure that nearly all of us will need a cane and false teeth at some point. Only a small percent of the population will enjoy fairly good health until the very end.
Have you ever wondered why this happens? Is it possible to predict or prevent disease? And if so, would you take advantage of such a possibility?
Our health depends on genetic and environmental factors that overlap with each other and are inextricably linked. It depends largely on how we live and how we are nourished, and the state of our immune system. Then there are genetic factors, which may, but need not become an issue. Genetic factors are our heritage, not only from our parents, as they contain information derived from many generations of our ancestors. Their expression depends on whether the gene is strong enough to be activated. Some external harmful agents can support this process. Let us also remember that our genes are shaped throughout our lifetime and each time we pass them on in a slightly modified form. The way we live affects our health and the health of our future children.
The body is a great system, whose smooth operation depends on maintaining internal balance. Any disturbance of this state will sooner or later cause health problems. Initially, the process involves changes at a level not detected by humans (cellular level), but over the years the disorder covers a larger area, and appears in the form of various ailments. Most often it is only then that we undergo tests to find the cause of the problem. Meanwhile, the majority of chronic diseases start many years before their manifestation.
The human body is a collection of individual cells that build tissues, organs and systems. Health is determined in part by the nutritional state of the cells, well-functioning antiradical protection system, an appropriate concentration of proteins, vitamins, minerals, and neurotransmitters, normal hormone activity, no hidden inflammation, and the right amount and type of intestinal flora.
Thanks to modern medicine, we can assess the following:
The advantage is to obtain specific information about the parameters that govern the internal balance of health, or homeostasis.
Detailed biological balance sheets, which are an assessment of the biological state of the body, have been conducted for several years throughout the world, including in Poland. As a result, we are able to determine the functional state of the body. Just like standard tests, biological balance sheets are conducted using blood, urine, faeces or saliva samples. They are used to assess the risk of dysfunction of individual systems on the basis of parameters which allow to determine factors such as the imbalance of the immune system, subclinical inflammation, deficiency and excess of individual micronutrients and vitamins, and disorders of antioxidant defence systems, etc., which are correlated, according to the latest research, with the increased risk of developing disease. So these parameters relate to the health of the patient, and their disorder can contribute to the occurrence of diseases that emerge only after several years. Therefore, if we remove these factors relatively early we can greatly reduce the risk of disease. The biological balance sheets are recommended for everyone at every stage of life, even the severely ill. By undergoing the biological balance sheet test we can assess dysfunction at the cellular level relatively early, and together with implementing the right diet or supplementation, we can prevent the development of the factors which cause the disease. The personal, social and economic benefits of this are not to be underestimated.
Preventive medicine in aesthetic medicine
Both patients and doctors expect that the performed treatments will bring spectacular and long-lasting effects. But why is this not the case for all applied treatment? Which factors influence the results of aesthetic treatments? In the era of modern diagnostics we are able to eliminate the states, which are the cause of short-term persistence of hyaluronic acid in the tissue, weakened regeneration of the epidermis, reduced production of collagen, or in the worst case - complications. In order to do this, you need to skilfully assess the presence of overt or subclinical inflammation, the state of antiradical protection system, nutritional disorders, and the state of the immune system.
I am sure that modern anti-aging medicine, which includes aesthetic medicine will be heading in this direction. The procedure alone is just the beginning of a process leading to a better appearance. Unfortunately, the ignorance of patients about the need to combine health and beauty treatments benefits those who earn money on the procedures alone.
What are the benefits of undergoing the body’s biological condition assessment?
We all expect to lead a long and healthy life. But there may come a time when we develop a chronic illness (autoimmune diseases, cancer, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, etc.). And then we ask ourselves - why us?
In this era of modern medicine does it not make more sense to prevent these diseases earlier?
BODY’S BIOLOGICAL CONDITION ASSESSMENT
First visit (90 minutes)
For this visit, please bring with you copies of all your medical tests, and the list of medications you are currently taking, including all supplements and herbs. During the visit, the doctor will conduct a medical interview and an examination, after which he will order relevant tests, which will provide information on your body’s biological condition. In addition, we measure the body composition for each patient.
Second visit (60 minutes)
During the visit, the doctor will discuss the results of the tests and provide recommendations for the patient.
The only physicians conducting full assessments of the body’s biological condition are:
